The monthly review meeting to assess the financial and physical progress of projects implemented this year under the Ministry of Women’s Affairs, Rehabilitation, Social Services, Cooperatives, Food Supply and Distribution, Industry and Entrepreneurship Development, and Commerce was held on Wednesday 1st of October 2025, at the Governor’s Secretariat. The meeting was chaired by the Hon. Governor of the Northern Province, N. Vethanayahan.
The progress of projects from each department—including the Ministry of Women’s Affairs, the Department of Cooperative Development, the Department of Social Services, and the Department of Industries—was reviewed in detail. Challenges encountered during the implementation of these projects, along with proposed solutions, were also presented during the discussion.
The discussion was attended by the Secretary to the Governor of the Northern Province, S. Sathyaseelan; Secretary to the Ministry of Women’s Affairs, M. Nanthagopalan; Deputy Chief Secretary – Finance; Provincial Director of the Department of Buildings; Directors of the Departments of Social Services and Industries; Commissioner of the Department of Cooperative Development; Secretary of the Cooperative Employees Commission; and Assistant Commissioners of Cooperative Development from each district.
