Town hall Meetings for the Third Quarter of this year were conducted successfully in all five districts of the Northern Province. With a special focus on issues affecting women and children, these meetings brought together government officials, community members, and activists to find solutions to local problems. The meetings were jointly chaired by the Ministry of Women’s Affairs, Northern Provincial Council, and the respective District Secretariats.
The Secretary/ Assistant Secretary of the Ministry of Women’s Affairs, Northern Provincial Council, the District Secretary / Additional District Secretary, co-chaired these meetings, which were sponsored by Chrysalis.
Representatives of women’s groups participating in these meetings presented their proposals on issues in a well-organized manner. These meetings served as a platform to identify people’s problems, share their views openly, and raise awareness about public issues.
In total, sixty-one matters were discussed and analysed for solutions at the meetings in all five districts.
