48th National sports festival held at Sugathadasa Stadium in Colombo on 17, 18,19 of this month. At the men’s pole vaults Mr.Arunthavarasa Puvitharan from Chavakachcheri Jaffna, created a record with 5.11 meter. Meanwhile, at the women’s pole vault Miss. Nesarasa Daksitha from Chavakachcheri Jaffna also created a record with 3.51 meter. It is remarked that the above players’ have broken their own record set themself in the past.
