This program is implemented under the guidance of Chief Secretary of Northern Province as per the instructions of the Honorable Governor under the auspices of the World Bank. Ministry of Local Government-Northern Province, Ministry of Education and Ministry of Health will combinedly carry out this program.
1600 Pre – Schools across the Northern Province have been selected for this project, which aims to protect Pre – Schoolers from malnutrition.
This Saththuma program was Ceremonially launched in Pre – School across the province on 02.05.2023, Tuesday. Teachers, students, parents, medical officers, Public Health Inspectors, Secretaries of Pradeshiya sabhas, Local Government Commissioners and other Heads of Departments attended this event.
The highlight of the event was the tree planting, carried out in each Pre – Schools as per the instructions of the Chief Secretary.
