A herbal development programme was held on 4th of December – 2022 at Siddha District Hospital – Mannar in a way of improving herbal gardening and activities related to herbal development.
Around 150 herbal nurseries were handed over to Siddha District Hospital by the Provincial Department of Indigenous Medicine, Northern Province. One portion of these herbs is planted at this hospital and arrangements are made to provide the remaining herbs to other hospitals in Mannar district.
After the plantation, a discussion was held on herbal collection.
In this programme Provincial Commissioner of Indigenous Medicine, District Ayurveda Coordinating officer – Mannar, Doctors and staff of Siddha District Hospital – Mannar and staff of the Provincial Department of Indigenous Medicine participated.
