The 74th Independence Day of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka was formerly celebrated on 04th February 2022 at the premises of the Chief Secretary’s Secretariat, Kaithady.
The National flag was hoisted by the Secretary, Ministry of Local Government Mr. L.Illangovan and Northern Provincial flag was hoisted by Deputy Chief Secretary- Admin, Mr.P.Kuganathan.
Deputy Chief Secretary – Personnel & Training Mr. P. Vageshan was addressed the gathering to highlight the importance of Independence Day.
On the commemoration of 74th Independence Day, the formal tree planting event was jointly performed by the Deputy Chief Secretary – Finance, Deputy Chief Secretary – Engineering and Chief Internal Auditor.
The Vote of Thanks was proposed by the Deputy Chief Secretary – Finance.
The Heads of Chief Secretary’s Cluster, Asst. Secretaries and the other officials of the cluster and Ministry of Local Government presented at the event.
