566 Students in the Northern Province Achieve 9 ‘A’ Passes in the G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination!

G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination: 70.1% of Northern Province Candidates Qualify for G.C.E Advanced Level Studies; 566 Students Obtain 9 ‘A’ Passes!

The results of the General Certificate of Education Ordinary Level (G.C.E. O/L) Examination 2025 have been officially released. According to the results, 70.1% of the students from the Northern Province who sat for the examination have qualified to pursue studies in the G.C.E. Advanced Level stream.

According to the results released this year, 566 students in the Northern Province obtained ‘A’ grades in all nine subjects. Furthermore, based on the island-wide provincial performance rankings, the Northern Province has improved its position and secured 8th place nationally this year.

Based on the results of the 2024 G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination, the Northern Province had achieved a pass rate of 69.87% and ranked 9th at the national level. Compared with last year’s data, the province has recorded notable progress both in the percentage of students qualifying for Advanced Level studies and in its national ranking.

Among the students who sat for the examination, 627 candidates failed to obtain a pass in any of the subjects.
