At the request of the Governor of the Northern Province, 1375 houses have been allocated for the Northern Province through the Ministry of Social Empowerment.
The beneficiary list is being prepared. Accordingly, a selected family will receive a house worth 1 million rupees.
550 beneficiaries from 5 District Secretariats have been selected and the list has already been sent to the Ministry. It is also reported that in the next few days the list of remaining beneficiaries will be prepared and forwarded to the Ministry.
Meantime, Rs. 32.5 million has been allocated for the resettlement of 44 families of those who are still being sheltered in welfare camps.
