It is to be noted that the National Tree Planting Programme has been proposed Under the leadership of Prime Minister to plant 10 Lakh saplings from 1st of February 2024 to 07th of February 2024 under the name of “Suwa Dharani National Programme to Plant Herbal Medicine Plants Week” parallelly with the Independence Day to be celebrated on the 4th of February 2024.
It has been intended to Plant the saplings in all the Grama Officer’s Divisions under the guidance of all Divisional Secretaries with the regulations of Provincial Ayurvedic Commissioner under the Supervision of Provincial Chief Secretary. It is notable that the saplings for this programme can be collected through Ayurvedic Board with the support of Community Medical Officer.
Accordingly, The National Tree Planting event has been initiated in order to implement it on Thursday 1st of February 2024 in the outside of the premises of Northern Provincial Council under the leadership of Chief Secretary, Northern Province.
In this event, the Chief Secretary, Assistant Chief Secretary, Administrative Officer and other officers of Chief Secretary’s Secretariat also took part and planted the saplings.
