The Founder’s Day and Prize-Giving Ceremony of J/Karanavai Thamothara Vidyalayam was held at the school this evening – on Saturday, 8th November 2025, under the chairmanship of the Principal, Mr. Anantharasa Vimalarasa. The event commenced with a band parade to welcome the guests, followed by the placing of garlands on the idols and a series of stage performances.
In his address as the Chief Guest, the Governor further stated “Your school stands as a distinguished educational institution in this region, with a proud history spanning more than a century. The message I have often emphasized remains the same — the rise or fall of any institution depends upon the quality of its leadership.”
The steady increase in the number of applications for admission to this school is clear evidence that the current Principal is providing outstanding leadership in the administration of the institution. The cooperation of all including teachers, parents, and alumni is essential; however, without strong leadership, a conducive environment cannot be sustained.
It is of great importance to cultivate leadership qualities among students. You are the future leaders who will shoulder key responsibilities in society in politics, administration, education, and various other fields. However, today, many institutions that serve the public are facing serious challenges due to the absence of effective leadership.
There are many who find excuses to avoid doing what ought to be done. Today, we see that qualities such as honesty, helpfulness, and a sense of responsibility are becoming increasingly rare in many places. Therefore, it is essential to nurture noble human values alongside academic advancement. Only then will you earn genuine respect in society.
