The new Consulate General of India Jaffna, Sri Lanka has assured the Honorable Governor of Northern Province that he is ready to provide full cooperation for the Cleanliness Programs.

The new Consulate General of India Jaffna, Sri Lanka Sevithi Sai Murali, met the Honorable Governor of Northern Province, P.S.M. Charles, yesterday. The meeting was held yesterday (28.02.2024) at the Northern Province Governor’s Secretariat.

The Honorable Governor of the Northern Province briefed The Consulate General on many issues including the development projects being carried out in the province and the needs of the people.

Accordingly, His Excellency Sevithi Sai Murali said that the cooperation of the Indian government will be continued for the development projects of the Northern Province. He informed that steps will be taken to provide technical training for the agriculture and SME and to expand the ferry service to the islands.

The Consulate General said that he would arrange facilities for tourism development and provide full cooperation to the Land and Coastal Cleaning Project. His Excellency Sevithi Sai Murali assured the Hon’ble Governor of Northern Province P.S.M. Charles that they will allocate the necessary funds from the Indian Consulate for the cleanliness project.
