The Honorable Governor of the Northern Province, N. Vethanayahan, who visited the Vavuniya District on Saturday (28.06.2025), also visited the Vavuniya South Sinhala Pradeshiya Sabha as part of his visit.
On this occasion, the Chairman of the Council, S.C. Weerakoon, welcomed the Hon. Governor and Honorable Deputy Minister Upali Samarasinghe, Honorable Member of Parliament M. Jagatheeswaran, and the Assistant Commissioner of Local Government, Vavuniya District, T. Ratheeswaran.
The Governor visited the head office of the Vavuniya Pradeshiya Sabha and also discussed the reactivation of the unused Cultural Hall constructed under the NELSIP project.
Furthermore, some unemployed graduates from that area met the Governor and presented their job opportunities.
