US Ambassador to Sri Lanka Mrs. Julie Jay Chung said, that she is very happy about the Present conditions in the Northern Province, development activities that taking place of the Northern Province and the development taking place in the people’s day to day life. When she had a meeting with the Northern Province Governor P.S.M. Charles on 23.08.2023 at the Governor’s office She said this.
Briefing to the ambassador about the current conditions in the Northern Province, the Governor said that she is paying more attention to the general infrastructure of the people including resettlement, agriculture, fishing and tourism. She also pointed out the information about the programs implemented in the last few years for the welfare of the people after the end of the war.
Meanwhile, the US Ambassador to Sri Lanka said that he is satisfied with Sri Lanka’s activities and development initiatives.
The US ambassador had conveyed her best wishes to Mrs. P.S.M. Charles for the appointment for the people of Northern Province as the Governor of the Northern Province for the second time.
