Special Workshop and Discussion Session for staff of Provincial Department of Agriculture Northern Province and members of Natural Farming Movement in Adampan Integrated Organic Farm and Organic Farm of Thadchanamaruthamadu Farm Women Society in Mannar was conducted on 22nd and 23rd of February 2019 with the participation of Dr.N.Sriskandarajah, Professor Emeritus in Environmental Communication, Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, Uppsala, Sweden as resource personnel.
This was offered in an interactive workshop format with field exercise for collecting information from the members of Farm Women Society in their Thadchanamaruthamadu Organic Farm and Mr.N.Uruththiramoorthy Founder of the Adampan Integrated Organic Farm in his farm in Adampan on the first day, and group works, presentations discussion at the Adampan Integrated Organic Farm on the second day.
5 staff of Provincial Department of Agriculture Northern Province, Members of Natural Farming Movement, and Members of Thedchanamaruthamadu Farm Women Society participated therein in the discussion and presentation took place. On the 2nd day Provincial Director of Agriculture S.Sivakumar participated and summarized the outcome of the workshop and follow up actions to be taken in the near future.
