Appointment letters for 401 new principals who passed the competitive examination for recruitment to the rank of principal were distributed on 04 October at the Teacher Training College in Koppai, Jaffna.
Northern Province Governor Mrs. P.S.M. Charles and Maritime Affairs Minister Douglas Devananda presided over the event.
They have been appointed as principals to fill the principal vacancies in Sinhala, Tamil and Muslim schools in the Northern Province. The Northern Province Education Ministry has informed that with the new appointments, the existing principal vacancies of Northern Province schools will be filled.
