The senior citizens of Kaithady Shanthi Nilayam celebrated New Year and Thai Pongal festival by engaging in various activities.
A special pooja was organized at Vinayagar Samedha Nitsinga Vairavar Temple followed by hoisting national flag and taking oaths by the staff. The events for the mental development of the elders and awareness towards the happy future were organized on that day.
On the Pongal day, special pooja and meditation activities were held in the premises of the Elders’ Home. The events to expose the Tamil heritage with the coordination of social institutions were held on that day.
