Permanent Crop Clinic Program – Vavuniya District

Commences from 01.03.2024 weekly on Friday from 5 am to 7.30 am Permanent Crop Clinic Program is being conducted at Vavuniya Whole sale Market. This concept introduced as a pilot project in 2009 in selected districts by the CABI organization (Center for Agriculture & Bio sciences International). As a result of its success, it was carried out in all districts of Sri Lanka as mobile Crop Clinic Programs and Permanent Crop Clinic Programs (PCCP).

However, due to the spread of COVID 19 pandemic it was withheld since 2020. In this case, it has been started in Vavuniya district.

Farmers can bring sick crop samples and get advice from extension officials. If an immediate solution cannot be provided, Farmers are contacted later and solution is provided.

Farmers in the district or visiting from other districts can avail this service.
