The opening ceremony of Annai Holdings, a modern seafood processing factory established in Navatkuli, was held on Wednesday, 3 September 2025.
Hon. Minister of Fisheries, Aquatic Resources and Marine Affairs, R. Chandrasekar, together with Hon. Governor of the Northern Province, N. Vethanayahan, unveiled the nameboard and officially inaugurated the company. The Governor, along with other invited guests, also toured the company’s operations.
Among those present were S.J. Kahavatta, Director General of the Department of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources; Maruthalingam Piiratheepan, Jaffna District Secretary; S. Sutharshan, Jaffna Divisional Secretary; and Akilan, Assistant Director of the Jaffna District Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Department.
