The opening ceremony of the Nanattan Multipurpose Co-operative Society building under the Nanattan Divisional Secretariat of Mannar District was held on 06.01.2021. Hon. Governor of Northern Province Mrs.P.S.M Charles graced the event as Chief Guest and declared opened the building.
The Chief Secretary of Northern Province Mr.A.Pathinathan was the Special Guest and Secretary to the Governor, Government Agent of Mannar district, Chairman of the Co-operative Society and members also participated in this event.
The Hon. Governor opened the Supermarket of the Co-operative Society and visited to the supermarket. Then opened the Nanattan Branch of the Multipurpose Co-operative Bank and provided grants to the customers. Savings books were presented by the Hon. Governor to the children who opened Children Savings Account. Thereafter the office building of the Co-operative Society was unveiled by the Hon. Governor.
