Mission

To support and strengthen the process of democratic enhancement of Local Authorities in the Northern Province by developing capacity and empowerment of Local Authorities to improve the rural accessibility, public utility services and better environment service of local good manner 

Function

Department contributes to to provide better services to public by the following functions:

• Ensure efficient and effective Local Government system
• Provide assistance and guidance in execution of development and rehabilitation works.
• Ensure establishment and maintenance of Management Information System
• Provide technical guidance and assistance to the local Authorities in the execution of development works.
• Ensure efficient and effective administration and financial management.
