The Kilinochchi District Coordinating Committee Meeting was held today (29.07.2025) at the District Secretariat Auditorium with the participation of the Hon. Minister of Fisheries, Aquatic Resources and Marine Resources and Coordinating Committee Chairman R. Chandrasekar, and the Hon. Governor of the Northern Province and Co-Chairman N. Vethanayahan.
The Coordinating Committee Meeting commenced with a welcome address by Kilinochchi District Secretary S. Muralitharan. Following the introductory remarks by the Coordinating Committee Chairman, the requests from various departments and investors submitted to the District Coordinating Committee were reviewed and approved. Subsequently, the progress of matters discussed during the previous Coordinating Committee Meeting was also reviewed separately.
Following this, a sectoral progress review was held. Development projects implemented by line ministries and the District Secretariat, and projects implemented by the Provincial Council were examined separately.
Parliamentarians Hon. K. Ilankumaran, Hon. S. Sritharan, Hon. Gajendrakumar Ponnambalam, Chairmen of Local Authorities, the Chief Secretary of the Northern Province, Secretaries of Ministries, Heads of Departments, Representatives of Public Organizations, and Security Personnel also participated in this meeting.
