With the aim of improving public services by expanding health service in the Northern Province, 21 ambulances were handed over by the Central Health Ministry to the Northern Provincial Health Ministry.
An event in this regard was held on 13th February 2019, at the Chief Minister’s Office, Kaithady. Governor of Northern Province Dr. Suren Raghavan participated in this event and handed over the vehicles. The 21 ambulances have been distributed to five districts of the province: Jaffna (9), Kilinochchi (4), Vavuniya (2), Mullaitivu (2) and Mannar (4).
Kilinochchi district Parliamentarian S.Sritharan, Mannar district Parliamentarian Charles Nirmalanathan, and Former Provincial Health Minister P.Sathiyalingam also participated in this event.
