A meeting between Governor Dr. Suren Raghavan and General Secretary Joseph Stalin of Sri Lanka Teachers’ Union was held today (22) in Colombo.
Their discussion mainly focused on the policy issues of teachers’ transfers in the Northern Province. The issues in Principal Service Grade III were also discussed.
The Governor stated that in order to investigate these issues, a committee including the Provincial Director of Education and representatives of the Sri Lanka Teachers’ Union will be appointed under the chairmanship of the Secretary to the Ministry of Education. He hopes they will find solutions to the issues in the Northern Province.
