Four books have been published by the Department of Cultural Affairs of Ministry of Education Cultural Affairs, Sports and Youth Affairs, Northern Province. In the month of November, the book launch event was held at the conference hall of the Northern Province Ministry of Education.
The event was Presided by Mrs. Sujeeva Sivadas, Deputy Director, Department of Cultural Affairs. Secretary to the Ministry of Education, Northern Province Mr. E. Ilangovan graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Professors and writers were the special guests.
Professor P. Chandrasekaran’s book “Kalvi Thathuvam” published by Professor N. Shanmugalingan was published on 22 November 2021 at 3.00 pm.
The keynote address was delivered by Mr. E. Rajeskannan, Senior Lecturer, Department of Sociology and the introductory speech was delivered by Dr. (Mrs.) Jayalakshmi rasanayagam , Head, Department of Education.
Prof. N. Shanmugalingam reprinted the novel “Dravida Prakasikai” by the Sabapathy novelist Vadakovai and Tellippalai. The launching ceremony of the two books “Kathiraimalaippallu” compiled by Kumaraswamy was held on 15 November 2021 at 3.00 pm in the hall of the Ministry of Education.
Eeswaranath Pillai Kumaran, Senior Lecturer, Department of Tamil, delivered the keynote address and Prof. Dr. A. Shanmugadas delivered the keynote address. The keynote address for the book “Kadiraimalaippallu” was delivered by P. Mahalingasivam, In-Service Teacher Adviser (Tamil), and the introductory speech was given by Prof. Dr. C. Sivalingaraja.
Writer Chandan’s book ‘Chandanin Padippulakam’ was launched at the Ministry of Education Hall on 01 November 2021 at 3.00 pm.
Artist S.Padmanathan delivered the keynote address and Prof. Dr. Na. Shanmugalingam also performed.
The events concluded with a vote of thanks from the authors.
