In order to provide relief to the people affected by Cyclone Ditwah, the former Vice-Chancellor, Professor S. Mohanathas, deposited funds into the government’s nation-building “Rebuilding Sri Lanka” fund and handed over the relevant deposit document today – on Friday 19 December 2025, at the Governor’s Secretariat to the Hon. Governor of the Northern Province, N. Vethanayahan.
The deposit of one million rupees to the said fund was made by brother of Professor S. Mohanathas , Mr. S. Ganethas. Upon handing over the relevant document to the Governor, it was immediately forwarded to the Presidential Secretariat.
