The monthly review meeting to evaluate the financial and physical progress of the projects being implemented this year under the Ministry of Agriculture and Co-operative Services, Livestock Development, Irrigation, Fisheries, Water Supply, and Environment – Northern Province, was held on Tuesday 14th October 2025, at the Governor’s Secretariat under the chairmanship of the Hon. Northern Province Governor, N. Vethanayahan.
The progress of each department — the Ministry of Agriculture, the Department of Agriculture, the Department of Livestock Development, and the Department of Irrigation — was discussed separately and in detail. The Governor paid particular attention to the progress and challenges of each project.
The meeting was attended by the Chief Secretary of the Northern Province, the Governor’s Secretary, the Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, the Deputy Chief Secretary – Finance, the Deputy Chief Secretary – Planning, the Provincial Directors of the Department of Agriculture, the Department of Irrigation, and the Department of Livestock Development, as well as District Directors.
