The monthly review meeting to examine the financial and physical progress of the projects being implemented this year under the Northern Province Ministry of Women’s Affairs, Rehabilitation, Social Services, Cooperatives, Food Supply and Distribution, Industries, Entrepreneur Promotion and Trade & Commerce was held today – on Thursday, 20 November 2025, at the Governor’s Secretariat under the chairmanship of the Hon. Governor, Northern Province , N. Vethanayahan.
The progress of the projects of each department—including the Ministry of Women’s Affairs, the Cooperative Development Department, the Social Services Department, and the Industries Department—was reviewed in detail. Challenges encountered in implementing the projects and the solutions to address them were also presented.
Participating in the discussion were the Secretary to the Governor, Mr. S. Sathiyaseelan; Secretary of the Ministry of Women’s Affairs, Mr. M. Nanthagopalan; the Deputy Chief Secretary – Planning; the Provincial Director of Buildings Department; the Provincial Director of the Social Services Department; the Provincial Director of the Industries Department; the Commissioner of the Cooperative Development Department and the Secretary of the Cooperative Employees’ Commission.
