Governor of Northern Province Dr. Suren Raghavan met the Head of Nallai Adheenam Sri La Sri Somasunthara Gnanasampantha Paramachariya Swamigal on 08th April 2019 at Jaffna Nallai Thirugnanasampanthar Adheenam.
The discussion focused on the issues faced by Hindus in the Northern Province, including Jaffna District. In recent times, the controversy and the vandalism were created between the religions in the Northern Province. The discussion also focused on how to abolish the issues and how to build constructive relationships among them.
Furthermore, the Governor mentioned that the temple administration requested him to declare Keerimalai Naguleswaram temple as a Sacred Bhoomi. He will meet the temple administration and the chief priest of the temple to take action in this regard and he will also discuss with the President Maithiripala Srisena.
During this meeting, it was also discussed to hold a Hindu Conference to solve the problems faced by the Hindu people living in the Northern Province. The Governor has also decided to hold a Hindu Conference in the North soon.
The Adheenam Head said he realizes that Governor’s activities are very constructive and useful to the people. He blessed him for continuing the work.
