A ceremony to present placement letters to the newly appointed Ayurveda Medical Officers attached to hospitals in the Northern Province was held on 7th November 2025 at the Conference Hall of the Regional Health Director’s Office, Health Village, Pannai, Jaffna.
The placement letters were formally handed over by the Governor of the Northern Province, Hon. N. Vethanayahan. Jaffna District Coordination Committee Chairman’s Coordinator, Mr. S. Kapilan, Secretary, Ministry of Health, Northern Province, The Commissioner, Provincial Department of Indigenous Medicine, Northern Province, and officers and staff of the Department also participated in the event.
The ceremony marked an important step in strengthening indigenous medical services across the province and supporting improved healthcare delivery to the public.
