The appreciation ceremony of Commander Security Forces, Major General Chandana Wickramasinghe took place at Valampuri Hotel, the day before yesterday, Tuesday (19.11.2024). Hon. Governor of the Northern Province, Nagalingam Vethanayagam graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and congratulated the Commander and presented him with a memento.
In his address, Hon. Governor of Northern Province, Nagalingam Vethanayagam said that most of those who served as Commander in Jaffna district in the past have been promoted as Army Commanders. Similarly, he also added that the Commander-Major General Chandana Wickramasinghe, as the Army Commander should serve the people of the Northern Province. Also, Hon. Governor Nagalingam Vethanayagam recalled the dedication of Major General Chandana Wickramasinghe in building houses for the resettled people and providing assistance for the education of the students.
