The President Maithripala Sirisena introduced a new tradition – Planting trees island-wide for the Sinhala/Tamil New Year. Accordingly, the saplings were planted at the auspicious time 11.17am on 15.04.2019 at the premises of the Chief Secretary’s Secretariat, Kaithady by the Chief Secretary, Deputy Chief Secretary – Finance with the participation of the officers.
