Of best ‘no deposit’ poker bonuses 2023 - pokerlistings

All over the world, online poker rooms are competing hard for your custom. To get new players through the door, many offer welcome bonuses. But as the market becomes more saturated, these offers have gotten bigger and better – with some now available without making a deposit.

Every serious site will give you cashback on your rake for life if you play enough hands there. But again, new players getting ‘raked’ can be cautious about downloading any software that might take money from their account each time they play a hand. That’s why rakeback schemes are often phased in after clearing a welcome bonus or playing a set number of hands – to stop everyone clearing the bonus then jumping ship immediately.

This list only features sites with real, no-strings sign up bonuses. Some require a deposit to trigger the bonus (although not in the UK), while others will release funds when you hit a certain number of hands or points. Either way, you’ll get free credits just for joining – and this guide will show you how to pick up the best deals around today.

NLListings Poker (previously known as Merge) has been around since 2002 and is a solid choice if you want to avoid the bigger skins on the GG and PS Networks.

As well as the weakest player pool on this page (and possibly the largest potential fish-to-regulars ratio), this site also has the lowest buy-ins and the most reliable (albeit slow) organic traffic. Plus NLListings Poker is one of the few networks with a decent range of alternative poker variants, including H.O.R.S.E., 2-7 Triple Draw and Badugi

How Much Buy-in is There?

The main $30K Sunday Showdown has a $5.50 buy-in. However, the real action is at Hold’em and Omaha cash games, where plenty of regulars knock along between $2/$4 and $6/$12. We saw several three-bet shoves in this bracket from players with stacks over 200 BBs - even at 9am on a weekend afternoon in Europe and Asia.

Mad Marathon is one of many affordable weekly MTT series on NLListings Poker.

Tournaments start at just 10c and there are plenty of $1 and $5 options with overlay. The $22 Daily $5K (with guaranteed prizepools) regularly have over 400 entrants, while the $109 Mad Marathon (with $30k GTD) is excellent value for anyone with a day to kill. You’ll also get 2x $10 freebie tokens plus entry to a $150 Daily $500 Freeroll when you make your first deposit of at least $20.

Software and Graphics

The software is functional but looks a bit dated compared to bigger sites like GGPoker and partypoker. The graphics aren’t particularly polished and there aren’t many customisation options. On the plus side, the interface is very stable and never suffers from lagging, glitching or disconnections - unlike some of the newer, flashier platforms out there.

One nice touch is the ability to multi-table across four screens with no limits on the number of tables you can run. Indeed, high volume players who really grind away at NLListings Poker report some of the softest fields they encounter anywhere - although the low max limits mean you can only make so much.

PokerKing is part of the iPoker network, which means it has decent numbers even outside the US and DACH region. Traffic is slightly down on the peak but there are still plenty of fish in the barrel at the lower stakes - especially at night in Europe and Asia.

Best Free Slots Online (Inc Free Spins Games) - Indivisible Gaming

We played several hundred hands of 9-max and six-max hypers on our test account and never had to wait more than two minutes for a seat at $1/$2 and $2/$5. There were obvious recreational players losing money in almost every session we observed - despite the fact it was a Saturday afternoon in the UK. One guy reloaded twice in less than two hours and another bought in for $100+ in a $2/$5 six-max table.

Soft Competition at Lower Stakes

Of course, this being Hold’em, people do sometimes get lucky or run up a score. And there were some regulars in there too - albeit moving down from higher stakes. We counted five consecutive three-bet shoves on one winning session at $2/$5 from our 20BB stack - but three of those regs looked like they might have been fish in a squishy transitional period. One tilted off a stack and rebuyed immediately. Another kept calling with bottom pair and a draw (despite us covering his average stack size (60BBs)) while a third got unlucky with top pair vs. set-ups.

The fourth and fifth shoves were definitely more skilled players, although both made some big light three-bets (one even four-bet shoved once) (ouch!) and both appeared to have artificially inflated win rates due to blowing up against much smaller stacks. In fact, during nearly 10 hours of play at $1/$2 and $2/$5 over a week-long period, we only identified two potentially dangerous regulars at $2/$5 - and both of them showed classic signs of being in a downward spiral.

One had clearly blown up his roll and was reloading every hand, while the other was engaging in some unusual line-taking and 3-bet shoving that didn’t look quite right - until we checked some hands on him afterwards and realized he’d taken a bad beat loan he couldn’t pay back. Needless to say, we avoided these guys and stuck to value town against the rest of the field - making about $500 in a nine-hour stretch. Your mileage may vary, obviously.

Mobile Bonus Offsetting Decline in Desktop Players

The good news for new iPoker newbies is that, while the overall number of desktop players has declined since the network’s halcyon days, the number of mobile players is actually growing. So, if you want to sample weak opposition while you acclimatize yourself to the lags and features, we’d strongly recommend using the PokerKing mobile app.

To be clear, there’s no no deposit sign up bonus for desktop MTT players at this time. But if you download the mobile app and spend £10 at real money cash game tables, you’ll get a £20 bonus plus 40 free spins. Full terms and conditions on the . This should be more than enough to cover the £10 rollover on the no deposit bonus and leave you with some spare change to try to convert.

GGPoker RunItUP ($600) No Deposit Bonus

RunItUp is a Twitch poker channel with a series of affiliated streams including that of Finnish star Juhamme Jouhkimainen, aka Jappi. This unique arrangement allows GGPoker Network to tap into a strong vein of recreational players in Scandinavia, the Baltic states, Russia and beyond.

Indeed, Fisharoonies will find plenty of weak players at the lower and mid-stakes at this time. We played mostly $1/$2 and $2/$5 and found at least one obvious fish in most sessions - including one guy who lost $800 in 90 minutes at the latter. He made some sick calls, limped a lot of big hands and seemed completely confused by the concept of pot odds. There were several other candidates in this bracket - including a blooded nose bleed (literally) who kept limping big hands and a Russian speaker who seemed to be playing a lot of hands and making some curious sizing calls.

Juhamme Jouhkimainen

However, a word of caution. While there did indeed seem to be plenty of juicy players on the table at any given time, our balance fluctuated wildly during these sessions as we picked off some pretty deceptive lines from players who looked smart but actually had no idea what they were doing. For example, one guy kept three-bet jamming any pair and a good stack size while another made some interesting sizings with mega air - and several players were happy to four-bet shove on anything for the sake of getting it in. We managed to flop a set once or twice when they were sitting with 20BBs+ and got paid off at odds of 10-1 or better.

So, you really need to be on your A-game here to maximize the profits - especially once you move up from the fish. That could be easier said than done because, while there are plenty of soft targets swimming in these waters, the layout isn’t the most player friendly out there.

Good Features but Clunky Interface

Don’t get us wrong. There are lots of good features here, including stat tracking, auto top-up, one-click checking/peeling/folding in the bubble and some fun sound effects. Indeed, GGPoker is constantly innovating in this area and added instant hand history reviews and card colors in late 2021. However, the interface does feel a little cluttered and fiddly in parts, with various pop-up boxes intruding into your play zone and some odd design choices that can obscure important info.

For example, you can’t see effective stacks at the table - which is crucial information in a game where lots of people are vacuuming up gold chips to inflate their stacks and look bigger than they are. Indeed we clicked golden chips by mistake multiple times when the buy-in interface kept popping up, and a player could be watching their stack grow by leaps and bounds as they blind off without a clue. Meanwhile active players are highlighted with green arrows that move continuously around the table like something out of Tron - which can be distracting when trying to focus on a complex hand.

Some players also report occasional glitches and disconnections, although this wasn’t an issue during our tests. Overall, however, this is a solid choice if you want European or Asian player traffic and some of the fisharoonies have to be seen to be believed. Just watch some RunItBuild streams first to learn some useful tips and strategies, and trigger the no deposit sign up bonus by entering code ‘FNITB20’ when creating your account, you’ve got $600 (or the equivalent in your local currency) to get stuck into some weak opponents with no risks attached.

[The no deposit sign up bonus is available in most regions except Germany, Poland, Ukraine, Portugal, Belgium, Peru, Pakistan, Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand, Mexico and Chile. See full terms & conditions on the .]

Unibet Poker (@UnibetUK) £500 Free No Deposit Welcome Package

Terms & Conditions from Unibet: New players only. 18+. Some withdrawals are subject to restrictions & conditions. Please see operator`s website for full t&cs.

_NB: You don’t actually get a no deposit bonus here as such. But there is a comprehensive welcome package worth up to £500 FREE that doesn’t require a deposit until you choose to make one - and then only if you win at least £8 in Sit & Go tournaments or MTTs. In other words, you can clear the whole thing without depositing a penny* - although you will need a funded account to claim the cash rewards.)_

*An Unibet casino bonus must be wagered once before you are eligible for the poker rewards.

Unibet is another European network that has held onto its share of the market despite the proliferation of bigger rivals. Traffic levels are down from the heady days of the early noughties but it still feels fairly populated at peak times - especially at Hold’em and the most popular Stud and Mixed Games.

Top-Rated 3D Slots You Can Play Online for Free

We saw plenty of weak Hold’em and Omaha players at $1/$2 and $2/$5 who looked like recreational enjoying the Olympics of sporting events currently taking place. One guy took bad hits to the wallet and immediately bought $30 more in tournament tickets. Another lost $400 in 90 minutes - tilting off his last $6 when he flopped a set of sixes and moved all-in only to run into quads. An aggressive young gun, he didn’t seem best pleased at having his groove tubed by a regular spyng his hand.

Aggressive reg at Unibet goes bust after running into quads

Now it has to build on its strong brand in sports betting and casino, Unibet Poker is emphasizing its soft spots with plenty of promotional tools to help players find the fish. One is stakeback, which returns buy-ins up to £400 in daily MTTs and £200 SNGs if you bust early. Another is Bubble Protection, which refunds buy-ins if you bust in the bubble of selected events.

There are also free ticket sculpting tools that let you tweak awards to suit your preferred games and stakes, plus filter tools that let you search for loose players by variables like buy-in size, prize pool and percentage of original field remaining. Indeed there are so many ways to target likely soft targets that it’s easy to forget you haven’t actually deposited any money to enter these MTTs and SNGs.

Collect Casino Bonus, Free Tickets & Cash Rewards

That’s because the unlock system means you earn rewards by achieving levels based on your performance against these tools. Specifically you get one key for every £1 in rake generated - and one more key for finishing in the top eight in a tournament or getting your snap at the gangplank in a SNG. Once you accumulate two keys you can open a reward chest containing a mix of free tournament tickets, cash rewards and casino bonuses

Obvious caveat: that casino bonus does need to be wagered once before you can transfer or withdraw it. Likewise you can only exchange tickets for new tourneys or SNGs — but there are plenty of good options in all the major Hold’em and Omaha varieties, plus some more exotic fare like Drawmaha and Turbo Deepstack.

Bust out of one of these events and you’ll keep half the cash prizes up to £8 — but any more and it’s all hers. Fortunately there were plenty of fish to mine in the £10+20 and £20+40 MTTs when we tested this system at Unibet. Indeed it would be tough to work through the keys and collect a cash reward without seeing at least a couple of Glengarry leads. Of course things get tougher at the highest levels - especially in tournaments with smaller fields - but we were able to get to work relatively quickly during a four-hour session.

There is no bonus hunterprotection if you bust out of a tournament or SNG early so you do need some banks to survive the rough patches. We started with £200 and it dipped down to £70 at one point before we double-rushed through a £10 buy-in event to trigger a £4 ticket. Other cashing opportunities include Uniboost sportsbook promos that award free bets for completing poker challenges.

Soft Competition at Low Stakes

As for cash games, there did appear to be some soft spots at $1/$2 and $2/$5 - although you really need to be sharp to exploit them. There were two obvious recreational players at these stakes in multiple sessions - one of whom lost $400 in an hour while the other blew through $800 in 90 minutes. Both showed signs of being in a downward spiral - one reloading immediately and the other moving down to $0.50/$1 after tilting off a big chunk of his roll.

The first mentioned player limped a lot of hands and made some nasty calls while the second seemed to be playing a lot of hands and making some curious sizing calls. For example, he made a three-bet jam with mega air despite having a huge stack and later four-bet shoved with nothing but pot odds of 2.5/1 — and I happened to flop a set both times when they were sitting with 20BBs+ and got paid off at odds of 10-1 or better.

Many players at these stakes seemed confused by the concept of pot odds, although a few were more deceptive. For instance, one guy kept three-bet jamming any pair and a good stack size while another made some interesting sizing with mega air and tabbled the correct odds on a couple of occasions. You do get a decent amount of information at this site so you need to concentrate and stay focused if you want to extract maximum value.

Free Casinos That Won't Disappoint in 2023

Overall, Unibet is a solid choice if you want to sample some of the fisharoonies in Europe and the Nordic/Baltic region. The fact you can do it without putting your own hands in your pockets is just a nice bonus. Just bear in mind that the interface can be a little overwhelming at times and there are some odd design choices - for example, showing the pot odds of players wanting to check, call or fold instead of those wanting to raise or re-raise. It takes a bit of getting used to.

Today Poker ($600) No Deposit Bonus

Today Poker Network is a Skrill-only network with a strong presence in continental Europe. Fisharoonies will find plenty of weak opposition at the lower stakes - although overall traffic is down slightly from its highs. We played at $1/$2 and $2/$5 and saw at least one obvious recreational player in most sessions - including one guy who lost $800 in 90 minutes at the latter. He made some sick calls, limped a lot of big hands and seemed completely confused by the concept of pot odds. There were several other candidates in this bracket - including a blooded nose bleed (literally) who kept limping a lot of big hands and a Russian speaker who seemed to be playing a lot of hands and making some curious sizing calls.

Obvious caveata: While there did indeed seem to be plenty of juicy players on the table at any given time, our balance fluctuated wildly as we picked off some pays of these lines when they were holding marginal hands or slim stacks. For example, we flopped a set once or twice when they were blind off or bleeding chips to look smaller than they were. So, you really need to be on your A-game here to maximize the profits - especially once you move up from the fish. That could be easier said than done because, although the layout is clean and intuitive, there weren’t always enough customization options for our liking.

For instance, we like to use a large on-screen clock to monitor the number of hands played in an hour - but none of the provided table views included one. Indeed we couldn’t even find the option to add one in the extensive settings menu. Likewise, there was no hotkey to top-up our stack when busting bluffers at the bubble - although you can at least program a macro to do it for you.

Lots of Promotions and Filters

These are minor issues and they don’t detract from the fact Today Poker has one of the strongest collections of promotional tools we’ve seen for finding likely soft spots. There are leaderboards, race tracks, heat maps, activity trackers, challenge lists and more - plus a nifty feature that lets you filter by expected VPIP - i.e. looseness.

We cranked this up to 20% and below to find plenty of obvious recreational players talking on Discord and discussing hands out loud. One guy tilted off his roll after losing a flip with AK against my pocket tens. Another blew up a stack moving all-in with nothing but a whiny voice chat about how he always gets feltered at this stake. Yet another went on a sick deck-finding heater with aces and kings but didn’t adjust and kept running into my lowly pocket pairs. Indeed it felt like we got cards in a lot of these sessions - but that wasn’t entirely down to the deck.

Yes, we did steam a $22 MTT with 50/50 flops and timely decks including a bad beat jackpot that transformed into a $12,000 score - complete with fireworks and a song. But we also saw plenty of Glengarry Leads losing pots with mediocre hands in multiple sessions - and even won a coinflip or two when we probably shouldn’t have done.

No Deposit Bonus Works Three Ways

Anyway, the point is that you should find plenty of fish to explore your exploitative tendencies on Today Poker - and you can do it without risking a dime thanks to Today Poker’s $600 (or regional equivalent) no deposit bonus, which works in three ways. Firstly, new accounts receive $30 in free tickets for daily $1 single table turbo MTTs worth $2.50 each. Secondly, you get $12 in cash achievments for completing simple tasks like opening the cash game lobby and playing six cash hands. Thirdly, you receive a $15 bonus for every 200 points you earn from paying $0.50 rake - and today Poker players tend to be pretty loose and juicy.

Full details of all three elements of the no deposit sign up bonus are available on the . This should be more than enough to cover the $10 rollover on the free cash rewards - assuming you follow the correct format and sit in low stakes hold em/oshgaze tables for a minimum of 60 minutes. Note that you need to tick a box confirming you have read the promo terms when creating your account.

Betfair Poker ($35 Free Play) No Deposit Bonus

Betfair is another European network that is popular with UK and Irish players. Fisharoonies will find some weak opposition at the lower and mid-stakes Hold’em and Omaha - although overall traffic levels are down slightly from the heady days of yore. However, Betfair has some extra features that can help you find them - namely Turbosome and Bubble Protection

Turbosome is a tool that lets you filter table view to show the loosest and most active players. By extension, this usually means the most recreational - so it’s a good place to go whale hunting for no deposit bonus dollars. Obviously these folks could be sharp so you need to bring your A-game - but it helps if the cards are running hot.

Clement 'Moneymaker' Chronologis Wins Betfair Poker Premium League

That was certainly the case in our tests when prominent Greek pro Clement Chaoussudis, aka ‘Moneymaker’, outmuscleled German legend Jan Skampa in the final of the £750 Betfair Premium League UK Poker Championships at £50/$1 stakes. If you’ve never seen the Premium League concept, think of it as poker meets Super Coach. Two commentators break down every move of the final table using tactical analysis, stats and replays to show the nuances of each situation - kind of like the NFL film room.

Local Casino Workers Share Horror Stories About Tips (AND VIDEOS)

It’s a great learning tool and can be intense viewing at times. Indeed, Moneymaker revealed after his victory that his heart was racing so fast he could barely sleep the previous night. Skampa was the pre-tournament favorite having won the first season of the Premium League, but Chaoussudis ground him down in a gruelling heads-up battle to secure the £12,750 prize.

This standard carries through to the MTT schedule more generally with some good formats and high standards of production values. Add Betfair’s no deposit bonus - a $35 free play on your first deposit of $25+ known as the ‘Betfair Spirit Bonus’ - and there’s plenty of incentive to sample some of the action.
