The Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series will be racing at Michigan International Speedway this weekend for the FireKeepers Casino 400. This will be the fourth race of the regular season, setting up the playoffs. Only four races are left before the regular season comes to an end.
Hot Drop Jackpots Ready to Pay Out on BetOnline Casino - GamblingSites.comChase Elliott is the points leader, but Ross Chastain closed the gap after winning the last race at Atlanta Motor Speedway. The two drivers are a cut above the rest of the field this year.
Here is everything you need to know about the FireKeepers Casino 400 at Michigan International Speedway, including the schedule, TV channel, start time, and NASCAR Cup series standings.
When Is the FireKeepers Casino 400 at Michigan International Speedway?
The 2023 running of the FireKeepers Casino 400 at Michigan International Speedway is on Sunday, August 13. NASCAR will have three races on dirt in 2023, so not all of the traditional dirt tracks made the cut this season.
Some racetracks have both NASCAR and IndyCar races on the same weekend. In those situations, it usually comes down to which series has a day race and which one has a night race.
This week in NASCAR is different from most weeks.
IndyCar is also at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course this weekend, but their race isn’t until Sunday afternoon. The NASCAR Cup Series drivers sometimes run Indy Cars or lend their name to an IndyCar full-time driver.
There are only five road course rings among the drivers competing full-time in the Cup Series. That makes it tough to compete on an Indy Car permanently.
Will Power is having a great season in Indy Car with three wins, but he’s not going to contend for the win in the NASCAR race at Michigan. Here’s a look at the scheduled start time for the FireKeepers Casino 400 on Fox.

What To Do Before the FireKeepers Casino 400
Before the FireKeepers Casino 400 at Michigan International Speedway, there will be two Xfinity Series races in two days. The first race takes place at Road America, and the second race is at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.
mohegan sun casino onlineSammy Grossarth won the first race at Road America in a thrilling finish over AJ Allmendinger. Allmendinger led 26 laps, while Grossarth led only 10 laps in his victory.
Justin Allgaier, Noah Gragson, and Brandon Jones rounded out the top five.
Saturday’s Xfinity Series race at Mid-Ohio features an interesting dynamic between Ty Gibbs and Sammy Grossarth. The two drivers are battling for the Xfinity Series championship, and they’ll be competing against each other again.
Gibbs and Grossarth collided last weekend, leading to Gibbs spinning and dropping several positions. This set Gibbs back, allowing Grossarth to take over the lead in the points standing.
Gibbs has been dominant in the Xfinity Series this year, but he needs to make the Chase for the Cup in order to defend his championship. Not helping matters is the fact that Gibbs was penalized 25 points following a crash with Brandon Jones at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Gibbs still has a decent cushion, but he can’t afford many more mistakes if he wants to make the postseason.

✪✪✪ SlotV Casino Review 2023 - Great Slots and Games to PlayChase Elliott is the defending winner of the FireKeepers Casino 400. Kevin Harvick won last year’s race at Michigan in June.
Kyle Larson is the driver to beat right now. He has nine wins and 21 stages wins in 38 career races on a mile track. Larson has two wins, six top 10s, and a 3.3 average finish in eight career races at Michigan.
Larson finished fifth in the first race at Miami last weekend.
Nine caution flags were reported in last year’s FireKeepers Casino 400. Two of those cautions were stage ends on a green-white-checkered restart. The average green flag run distance was 47.5 laps. There were only 13 warnings for something other than a caution or a stage.
Michigan is a fast track, which means there will be fewer cautions for debris. However, this is a high-wear track, meaning crews will need to make adjustments throughout the race.
These are the NASCAR Cup Series drivers to watch at the FireKeepers Casino 400.
- Ross Chastain (car #1)
- Joey Logano (car #22)
- William Byron (car #24)
- Kyle Busch (car #18)
- Denny Hamlin (car #11)
- Christopher Bell (car #20)
- Austin Cindric (part-time Cup driver, full-time Xfinity Series winner)
- Ryan Blaney (car #12)
- Chase Briscoe (part-time Cup driver, full-time Xfinity Series winner)
- Tyler Reddick (car #45)
- Alex Bowman (car #48)
- Martin Truex Jr. (car #19)
- Kurt Busch (car #45)
- Kyle Larson (car #5)
- Chase Elliott (car #9)
After a wild race at Atlanta, anything is possible this weekend at Michigan. Will Ross Chastain leave Michigan with a second straight victory? Or will someone else celebrate in the Winner’s Circle?
Tune in to Fox at 2:00 PM ET to see if Chastain can remain hot.
What Are the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series Race Tracks and Dates?
