A mobile service was conducted by Ayurvedic Medical Council in Northern Province. It was arranged in a way of providing services to the registered doctors and those who are waiting for the registration as traditional practitioners.
It was held in Vavuniya, Kilinochchi, Mannar and Jaffna districts on 18.07.2023, 19.07.2023 (Kilinochchi, Mannar) and 20.07.2023 respectively.
All the arrangements were made by the Provincial Department of Indigenous Medicine – Northern Province to carry out this mobile service in Northern Province.
The following services were provided through this mobile service to the doctors.
- Issuing ledgers medical certificate.
- Issuing medical identity cards.
- Issuing copy of Ayurvedical Medical Council certificate.
- Issuing vehicle pass.
- Renewal of Ayurvedic Medical Council certificate.
In addition to that, oral examination was held in Jaffna & Vavuniya for the applicants who are expecting registration for the traditional practitioners.
The Provincial Commissioner of Indigenous Medicine – Northern Province was appointed as the chairman of the examination board and other members were selected by the Provincial Commissioner of Indigenous Medicine – Northern Province for this board.
Totally around 17 applicants faced this oral examination and around 150 doctors benefited by this mobile service.
