Governor of Northern Province Mrs. PMS Charles advised the unemployed graduates in the Northern Province to take the opportunity to get their jobs in the government sector in a timely manner without delay.
The Governor pointed out Minister Bandula Gunawardana’s statement. Accordingly, the deadline for applications for employment programs for unemployed graduates has been extended till 20th February. The age limit for enrolling graduates under this scheme has been increased to 45. It should be noted that the deadline for taking applications was 14th of this month and the age limit has been mentioned as 38.
The candidates who wish to apply for this course must have completed the approved course or the diploma course approved by the University Grand Commission on 31.12.2019. The applicants should have permanent residence in the Divisional Secretariat Division.
Grama Niladhari and Divisional Secretary should confirm that they have been unemployed for more than 1 year after completing their degree course on 01.01.2020. The application form can be downloaded from the Presidential Office www.presidentsoffice.gov.lk.

If the applicant is a graduate, on the top left-hand corner of the envelope it should be stated ‘Graduate/ (Name of the District) and if the applicant is a diploma holder on the envelope should be stated’ Diploma Holder/ (Name of the District).
