The Cordish Cos.’ Live! Casino & Hotel Gilbert in Howard County is another highly anticipated gaming facility set to open next year. Located on 350 acres off U.S. 1 and Maryland 108, the property will boast a 20-story glass hotel tower with 350 rooms and suites, as well as a 165,000-square-foot expanding casino floor featuring 2,700 slots, 200 table games, and 50 poker tables. Despite these challenges, Stadium Casino Senior Vice President Rick Abbruzzese remains confident that the casino will open on time and create around 500 construction jobs and 600 full-time and part-time positions. The 70,000-square-foot facility is expected to generate $72 million a year in gaming revenue.
