Sidha Ayurveda Medical officers have been recruited by the Department of Ayurveda andten Ayurveda Medical Officers were appointed to the Northern Provincial Council from them. Six of them reported at the Chief Secretary’s office on 24th February 2014.
The five days induction training programme for newly recruited Development Officers have been organized by the provincial Management Development Training unit (MDTU) from 19th to 25th February 2014 in MDTU’s Training Hall, MOH, Kopay.
“Although Provincial secretary’s meeting is a routine practice, it serves the purpose. It gives a holistic view of the progress in different sectors. It also shows the state of ongoing projects, the funds spent on these projects and analyses the viability of these projects as well.”

Ms. Una McCauley, UNICEF new country representative visited to Jaffna with Mr.Pragash Chief Coordinating Officer for Northern Province had a discussion with Chief Secretary, Deputy Chief Secretary – Planning, Deputy Chief Secretary – Finance, Commissioner of Cooperative Development and Commissioner of Probation & Child Care Services on 27th January 2014 at Chief Secretary’s Secretariat.
50th anniversary celebration for Sri Lanka Administrative Service has been organized by the Sri Lanka Administrative Service association in national level on 17th of February 2014.
