Progress review meeting on the development activities in the Northern Province held on 1st February 2010 at 10.00 am at the ABC conference hall of the Northern Provincial Council at Varothayanagar, Trincomalee. Hon. Governor, Northern Province, Major General GA Chandrasiri chaired the meeting

Hon. Governor appreciated at the outset that all officers in the Northern Province are Working very hard and achieved important tasks on “Vadakkin Vasantham” 180 days programme, he further pointed out that progress on resettlement activities are also being done at the satisfactory level.

Various aspects including sectoral activities also discussed at the meeting, urgent work priority items for resettlement have been discussed deeply, important decisions also have been taken by the direction of the Hon. Governor.

Chief Secretary Northern Province Mr.A.Sivaswamy, Secretary to the Governor Mr.S.Rangarajah , All Secretaries, Deputy Chief Secretaries and Heads of Departments were participated at the meeting.
