A new canteen opened by the Hon. Governor, Northern Province Major General GA Chandrasiri at 11.00 a.m on 10th March 2010 to provide more facilities to the staff of Northern Provincial Council head quarters.
Hon. Governor, Northern Province Major General GA Chandrasiri addressed to the Staff of the Northern Provincial Council on 9th March 2010. Secretaries, Deputy Chief Secretaries, Head of Departments and all Staff Officers have participated on this occasion.
A distribution ceremony was organized by the PEACE Project and held on 09th March 2010 at Governor's Secretariat, Northern Province, Trincomalee under the chairmanship of Hon. Governor, Northern Province Major General GA Chandrasiri.
The water plant Hyacinth (Eichhornia) are spreaded on the surface area of the reservoir and causes loss of water due to evapotranspiration. As a result, the water resource of the beneficiaries under this scheme further reduced and the farmers could not carry out the yala cultivation successfully. 
Progress review meeting on the development activities in the Northern Province held on 9th March 2010 at 10.00 a.m. at the ABC conference hall of the Northern Provincial Council at Varothayanagar, Trincomalee. Hon. Governor, Northern Province, Major General GA Chandrasiri chaired the meeting.
